Every month there will be Monthly Gaming PC Builds in various price ranges based on the newest hardware trends, reviews and research I have done in order to provide up to date Gaming Builds so that you can get the best value for your money. I write hardware reviews in the Newb Reviews section when I purchase Gaming PC Hardware of my own so that I can provide you with my thoughts on what I use. And finally, we are building gaming PCs! So Newb Computer Build has also provided you with a PC Games section that provides the system requirements, and requirements you will need to play these games at higher settings various PC Games.

  1. Did you have any problems with the mounting on the processor fan? I have the same processor and motherboard, and the locking mechanism on the processor fan doesn’t reach down far enough to lock onto the motherboard.

      Yeah it is a little tight but trust me it will fit right in. Make sure the fan / heat sink is oriented the right direction.

I am having the exact same problem, I can not get the OEM CPU Heatsink/Fan to click on the motherboard with this exact same setup, I am not a pro but I have built around 20-30 computers over the last 15 years and this setup just is not looking like it will go together, I have double checked everything, making sure the CPU is seated down tight, tried flipping the CPU Heatsink/Fan in both directions, and I can not find a way to click them together without giving it EXCESSIVE FORCE.
