As a side note* I have decided to start a Star Wars: The Old Republic wiki. You can visit / create an account / help add content by visiting http://swtorwiki.info/
I was invited for the Star Wars: The Old Republic Beta the weekend of November 25-27th 2011 and it was very exciting. Why?
- I think this game looks quite amazing; I had been wanting to play it for quite a while (aslo wanted to test it out before its release!)
- I did get invited two weeks previous, however the massive game download took me for ever to…download. The beta had actually ended on a Sunday at 12 am and my download finished soon after.

Star Wars: The Old Republic – The MMORPG Star Wars Saga!
It is of my perspective that any MMORPG lover of Star Wars lover will instantly become immersed in Star Wars The Old Republic. You get to be your own Star Wars hero in the a time thousands of years before Darth Vader; the wars are between the Galactic Republic and the Sith Empire. You can choose a faction to be a part of such as a Jedi, Sith and much much more! In your journey you will make decisions that direct your light or dark side of the Force, have companions with or against you, and team up with other players to accomplish several challenges.
Bioware (the company behind Star Wars The Old Republic) states that your personal Star Wars saga begins in the Star Wars: The Old Republic. I mean how cool is that, I can simply read that statement and become excited about this game. The game play looks very dynamic: Game play includes anything from Advanced Characters Classes (you choose a specialty later in game), Companions (Fight with you and side with you based on your choices), Crew Skills (allow you to do more things at once, such as assign your crew to gather resources), Flashpoints (story driven adventures to do in groups), Guilds (team up with like minded individuals), and Space Combat (You can navigate and visit planets, and fight in space!).
If you are wondering whether you can or will be able to play Star Wars The Old Republic then you will probably want to know the minimum system requirements to play so here they are.
