The Best Gaming PC Builds for October 2020 - $1500 $1000 $700 and $500

Building a gaming pc this October 2020? Well, it might be a perfect time or right in the middle of the flux between some major hardware releases. The first will warrant some discounted high-end hardware, whereas the latter might reward you with higher performance if you have the time to wait for stock and extra cash to spend.

Illusive enough? As you might have heard NVidia recently hit us with their NVIDIA Ampere architecture GPU with their GeForce RTX 30 Series Graphics Cards announcement, which included the release of the best GPU launched to date, the RTX 3080 on September 17th, 2020 for $699 – and this thing had some major hype, the RTX 3090 on September 24th for $1499 and the RTX 3070 coming this month for $499.

Now, actually getting your hands on one of these might take some time, and probably won’t happen this month as these cards were wiped clean from the shelves upon release. But what this also means, is that the current generation cards are dropping in cost – which makes the builds this month mad affordable. Another plus to building a pc this month is Amazon announcement of Prime Day on Oct 13-14 – so you could either get some cheaper hardware ahead of time and wait to get your hands on a new RTX card, or save some cash and go full forth with the current GPUs!

And if you’re curious, there are some pretty impressive benchmarks on the RTX 3080 out there and if you want to look into them here are some good ones: Tomshardware; PCGamer; Theverge; JayzTwoCents; or Gamers Nexus — that should be enough proof that this card performs.

For the gaming PC builds of the month, you will find builds anywhere in-between $500, $700, $1000, and $1500. This should accommodate most PC gamers out there that play in a multitude of gaming settings, maxing games anywhere from 1080p, 1440p and play really well into 4K.

Which October 2020 PC Build is right for you?

If you are not sure which pc build is right for you based solely on your budget, then here is a quick breakdown on which build may be a right fit for you:

  • $1500 PC Build: For gaming at 2K resolutions into 4K
  • $1000 PC Build: For gaming MAX settings at 2K resolutions
  • $700 PC Build: For gaming at MAX settings 1080p resolutions into 2K
  • $500 PC Build: Basically a console killer and will play any game out there, sometimes scaled-down in settings.

Best of luck building the best possible gaming pc build this June 2020. If you have any questions be sure to leave a comment or simply join our new Facebook Group: Gaming PC Builders Facebook Group.

Overview | Best Gaming PC Build for $1500

The $1500 gaming pc build for October 2020 includes a powerful AMD Ryzen 3700X CPU. This is paired with a powerful RTX 2070 SUPER graphics card, making this a very powerful gaming pc capable of extreme performance in games at the higher of resolutions. Now, you may have heard of Nvidia’s recent RTX 3080 release, which wouldn’t exactly fit the budget build here – but the RTX 3070 being announced this month might so stay tuned for that or snap up the RTX 2070 while it’s cheap!

If you are looking for an over the top, very fast performing gaming PC build that you don’t have to worry about tweaking very much in order to max all games out at HD and higher resolutions, then this build is for you. However, unless you are wanting to get into seriously high-end 4K gaming, you shouldn’t need much more.

If you still think you need increased performances, you could upgrade your CPU or GPU if you have the excess funds to do so. If that is the case, you could simply consider upping the graphics card to something like an RTX 3080 (if you can find them in stock). This build also includes a very good gaming pc case, with great cooling included and more.
