4. MotherBoard

The motherboard holds the crucial components of your computer system. As stated by PCreview:

“A motherboard houses the BIOS (Basic Input/Output System), which is the simple software run by a computer when initially turned on. Other components attach directly to it, such as the memory, CPU (Central Processing Unit), graphics card, sound card, hard-drive, disk drives, along with various external ports and peripherals.”

For some reason when choosing a motherboard I became very confused with which was the best. I ended up getting a pretty decent motherboard at a decent cost. I purchased the
ASUS M4A87TD/USB3 AMD Motherboard
. it was priced at $108.99 CAD and worked wonderfully. I chose this one because it has 4×240 pin DDR3 memory slots, 2 x USB 3.0 (for future use), and it supported my AMD Phenom II X4  processor. The only downfall of this motherboard I can think of is only one PCI Express 2.0 slot, so this would discount using a crossfire of two to four graphics cards (Adding more than one graphics card to be used in a single computer to improve graphics performance). Although, I don’t really need more than I have at the moment anyways.
