I followed your basic setup and was able to find everything cheap on EBay or Amazon (used or second hand).
In 2016, in order to play a game like Subnautica though, I highly recommend using a more powerful PSU (Antec EA-650, 650 watts with 2 PSI-E connectors) and a more powerful GPU (Radeon HD 6950 2Gb). All were found for very cheap on EBay and my whole spent was $350-$400 max.
I HOPE TO GET AN ANSWER TO MY QUESTION ABOUT THE CPU POWER CONNECTION AND HOW TO CONNECT WITH THE CABLES PROVIDED WITH THE ASROCK Z67 EXTREME 3 GEN3 MOBO. IS IT NECESSARY TO CONNECT? IT’S PIN PATTERN DOESN’T MATCH THE CABLES PROVIDED. I’M A NEWB AT THIS AND DON’T WANT TO SCREW IT UP.
My name is Jeremy and im a new at building computers and have no clue as to wheret start i want a basic computer tat plays eve online and wow and the star wars the old republic, etc. I recently bought an computer case and AMD Athlon ll Processor and a Asus motherboard. I was wondering what else i would need to buy i want very basic seeing to it being my first time but enough to run the games. If you can give me your ideas on what else i should get or if i should get a different motherboard and processor. I want to keep the case though but i can return and buy a new processor if you can give me a better one. Thank you very much i put a list of what i bought and what there specs are.
