This is where you will find the Newb Computer Build Gaming PC Keyboard choices of the month. Each month there will be three Gaming Keyboards posted to Newb Computer Build highlighting that months top gaming keyboards based on reviews, new releases, and pure choice. Three Things to Keep in Mind When Buying a Gaming Keyboard:
One: As I always like to say – keep in mind your budget. PC hardware in general can be expensive, but PC gaming hardware seems to come with a larger price. Keyboards can be purchased anywhere from $5 to a larger hundreds of dollars. Sometimes you get what you pay for and sometimes you don’t. Perhaps you don’t want all the bells and whistles, then these are not worth it for yourself price wise.
Two: What games do you play? There are many different types of keyboard that you can use for gaming, and this may be determine the type of keyboard you purchase. A game like StarCraft II can utilize a ton of macro keys, whereas a game like Chess will not!
Three: What appeals most to you? If you are going out of your way to purchase a gaming specific piece of hardware, you most likely want to get the most you can out of your gaming experience. Some keyboards have different colored lights, shapes, feel etc. Perhaps you are an extremely Type A Gamer – And your keyboard and mouse must match the colors of your computer case 😉
