Since that article is split into three separate builds, so are the recommendations for the peripherals you see below – which have been chosen with the budgets of the monthly builds in mind, as well as are suitable for the hardware in those particular builds (ie. monitors that will outport the performance expectations of those builds). Best High-End Monitor, Keyboard & Mouse Gaming PC Peripherals
These peripherals would be best suited for a build like the May 2017 $1500 gaming pc build included in the monthly builds article.

Here are some peripheral ideas for our under $1000 May 2017 PC build. These are optional to the above build, but are suggestions in case you are starting fresh and need them (as you will need a monitor, mouse and keyboard!).
Below is a monitor that would go best with this build since it is capable of pumping games with high settings at high FPS no problem at 1080p without a hiccup (keep in mind that you can go into 1440p if you wanted). Below is a 24-inch monitor that would go best with this build since it is capable of pumping games with high settings at 1080p standard HD resolutions. The Dell version has been on sale for a few months and looks like a great alternative if you don’t mind a TN panel instead of IPS.
