8. Video Card

the responsibility of the video card is to generate output images to your display. There are tons of different cards out there and it can be kind of confusing when browsing through them all. Some motherboards come with ‘integrated graphics’ built in but this comes with terrible low-performance graphics results. Purchasing a separate graphics card has its own RAM and Processor specifically for processing graphics. As well the outputs on different graphics cards vary.

The graphics card I purchased is the XFX Radeon HD 5770 HD-577X-ZNFC Video Card. When researching which card to purchase I was looking for the “best bang for your buck” sort of deal, and this is what I came across. So there are many better cards, as well this card does have crossfire support (Support of 2+ Graphics cards in one motherboard). This card also included 1x HDMI, 1x Display port, and 2x DVI ports.
